Riverside Piano Works Policies

At Riverside Piano Works (RPW), customer satisfaction is key. However, please be aware of the following policies:

  • Please allow a 15 minute grace period, before and after the appointment time.

  • Take any pictures, figures, lamps, etc., off the piano before our arrival. It helps save time and then you can put your stuff where you’d like!

  • RPW reserves the right to charge a percentage for appointments canceled day of or no shows.

  • Broken strings will incur a cost if customer agrees for RPW to replace. Price is dependent on how many strings break and whether it is a bass string or treble wire. Remember, “tuners don’t break strings, strings break”. It is rare that RPW breaks strings, but if it does, most likely the string was ready to go. RPW is very experienced and will do our best to keep from strings breaking, but it does happen.

  • Pitch correction or “pitch raising” will add to the cost of a regular tuning. Note that regular tuning will keep your piano from needing these large scale changes. Most of the time, with good humidity control and regular tuning, pitch correcting will not be needed. Note that pianos not tuned in a long time typically need this “pitch correction” and will likely mean more time and money.

  • If there are any questions about any of this, feel free to email us at: riversidepianoworks@gmail.com

Thanks!
